What do we need from you?

We are looking for a content marketer with leadership skills to lead and grow our exceptionally talented team of Content Specialists at STX Next.

Your mission will be to consistently ship exceptional content. It needs to catch the attention of our target buyers, create traffic to stxnext.com, and ultimately lead to qualified opportunities in the pipeline for our Business Development team.To achieve this goal, you will have at your disposal the hard work and creativity of our in-house writers, the experience and expertise of subject matter experts at STX Next, as well as an additional budget for outsourcing content projects.

You’ll have a chance to make an impact on almost everything we put out there: from blog posts through ebooks, pillar pages, email campaigns, website copy, and much more. As Content Lead, you will be the #1 factor determining the quality of the content produced by STX Next

What you will do:  
  • Set the content strategy for our blog, ebooks, lead magnets, pillar pages, and other assets.
  • Conduct 1-on-1 and growth review meetings with members of the Content team.
  • Have regular conversations within the Marketing team and with the Business Development and Product Design teams to brainstorm and prioritize content ideas—and make a plan how to bring them to life.
  • Provide feedback to internal and external writers.
  • Grow our subscriber base, organically, by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests.
  • Analyze the impact of our content to make better decisions about which topics/formats we should invest more time and effort in.
  • Keep thinking of ways to scale our content production while maintaining quality and impact on our pipeline.
  • Continue our work of standardizing content production processes to help ship content faster with a consistent style and narrative.
  • Gradually grow our content capacity by interviewing and hiring talented in-house content marketers and freelancers.
  Must-haves  
  • At least 1 year of experience leading a team of 2+ people
  • A proven track record of success in content marketing; be ready to tell us about a content project that you ran that created impressive results.
  • An exceptional command of the English language. You will be reviewing texts written by Content Specialists with flawless English.
  • Impressive writing and editing skills. Your main responsibility will be leading the team, but you must be able to jump in and create great content yourself when the situation calls for it.
  Nice to haves  
  • Experience working with freelancers: creating briefs, negotiating rates, overseeing timely project completion, etc.
  • A strong understanding of the rules around creating content optimized for SEO.
  • Previous experience creating content specifically for ABM campaigns.
  • Experience with email marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and data analysis tools such as Hubspot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console.
  • Experience with ClickUp, our preferred project management tool.
  • Experience working in IT and/or programming experience.
  The monthly salary is calculated assuming 168 hours worked within a month. The salary may change depending on the number of working days within a given month.
